NEW YORK, NY - The final Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches? Poll of the fall season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, III and the NAIA, will appear in the November 22 issue of Golf World. Despite receiving only one first-place vote out of the 20 available, North Alabama remained the No. 1 team in the final Division II coaches' poll of the fall. The Lions stayed atop the ranking after three victories and two runner-up finishes. Lynn (No. 2) and Western Washington (No. 3) each moved up one spot from the previous ranking with both schools winning three times in the fall. Chico State (No. 4) dropped after previously being ranked No. 2, while Central Oklahoma (No. 5) rose two spots after winning its fourth tournament of the fall. Sonoma State (T-7) and CU-Colorado Springs (No. 10) moved into the top-10, after being ranked Nos. 14 and 12, respectively, in the previous coaches' poll. Dixie State (No. 22) and Queens U. of Charlotte (No. 24) joined the top-25.
