Farmers Insurance Rewards School Spirit During Third Round of Farmers Insurance Open PDF Print E-mail

LA JOLLA, CA - Farmers Insurance rewarded school spirit during the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open, encouraging fans and TOUR players to wear their university colors in support of Farmers new “University of Farmers” advertising campaign. Farmers awarded over $30,000 to the college golf programs of the three players posting the best third-round 18-hole scores. D.A. Points/University of Illinois and Phil Mickelson/University of San Diego carded 4-under 68s and will each earn $12,500 for their respective schools. Six players carded 3-under 69s and will earn $1,000 for their schools: Greg Chalmers/Golf Coaches Association of America, Tom Gillis/Oakland Community College, Spencer Levin/University of New Mexico, Hunter Mahan/Oklahoma State University, Jhonattan Vegas/University of Texas and Bubba Watson/University of Georgia.
