TONY DOVOLANI TO ADDRESS WGCA AND GCAA NATIONAL CONVENTIONS Print

NORMAN, Okla. – PGA Player and Coaching Development Committee member and “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer, choreographer and instructor Tony Dovolani will address the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) National Conventions December 11-13 in Las Vegas.

Dovolani joined “Dancing with the Stars” in the second season and quickly became a fan favorite with his stellar choreography, elegance and bright smile. Dovolani and his dance partner Melissa Rycroft were season 15 “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” Mirror Ball Trophy champions.

Dovolani is honored to serve on the PGA Player and Coaching Development Committee and looks forward to contributing to the future of professional golf. He enjoys hitting the links whenever his schedule allows, playing in Pro-AM and charity tournaments including American Century Golf Championship, The Humana Challenge Golf Tournament, Michael Douglas and Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament and Emmitt Smith’s charity tournament. He led his team to two wins at The ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic.

In June 2016 Tony established the Tony Dovolani Foundation: Golf for Special Needs Children, which combines his passion for golf with helping others. The inaugural tournament raised funds for the Only You Foundation while the second edition’s proceeds were donated to the Kennedy Center’s Autism Project.

Dovolani’s professional body of work includes guest-hosting segments on “EXTRA,” the Golf Channel’s “The Morning Drive” and on ABC syndicated show “On The Red Carpet.” He guest starred on TV Land’s “The Exes” and recently did a cameo appearance on CBS TV’s “Kevin Can Wait.” Dovolani played Latin bad boy competitor, ‘Slick Willy,’ in the hit film “Shall We Dance.” He was a dance instructor on the film and had the privilege of coaching and working with Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, and Stanley Tucci. He was also featured as a special guest on the Dancing with The Stars: Las Vegas show. He is a frequent guest on “Good Morning America” giving viewers his special insight into the world of “Dancing with the Stars”.
