Barry Top Ranked Team in GolfWorld/Nike Golf Division II Coaches' Poll

(NEW YORK, NY) — The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division II College Coaches’ Poll of the Spring 2014 season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, III, NAIA and NJCAA will appear in the March 31, 2014 issue of Golf World. Barry University, winners of four team titles to date in the 2013-14 season, held on to the top spot in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division II men's college coaches' poll.

The Buccaneers earned 18 of the 19 available first-place votes having finished no worse than second in any event during the spring campaign as they aim to defend their NCAA title.

Lynn University remains No. 2 in the ranking, with CSU-Monterey Bay, Chico State and USC-Aiken rounding out the top five. No. 6 Central Missouri was the only other squad to receive a first-place vote.

Two new programs moved up into the top 10: No. 9 CSU-Stanislaus and No. 10 Western New Mexico.

Four schools made their way into the top 25: No. 18 Sonoma State, St. Edward's and UC-San Diego, both tied at No. 20 and Clayton State, which earned a share of the No. 24 spot.
