Texas New No. 1 in Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll

NORMAN, Okla. – Texas earned 17 of 21 first-place votes to move atop the ranking in the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. The Longhorns unseated Illinois, who has been ranked No. 1 in five of the seven polls this season, from the top spot.

The Illini tallied two first-place votes and dropped to second. Georgia also collected a first-place vote and moved up two spots to No. 3. Fourth-ranked Southern California received the lone remaining first-place ballot. Vanderbilt jumped nine places to No. 5 and was followed by Auburn, Stanford, Florida State and Arizona State. Oklahoma State climbed two spots to enter the top 10.

Arkansas debuted in the top 25 at No. 24 while Washington reentered the ranking at No. 25.

Penn State and Purdue dropped from the top 25.
