Oklahoma City Top Team in Preseason GolfWorld/Nike Golf NAIA Coaches Poll

(NEW YORK, NY) — The preseason Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA College Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II, III, and NJCAA will appear in the September 3, 2012 issue of Golf World. Oklahoma City is the unanimous pick for the No. 1 spot in the Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA preseason men's coaches' poll.

The Stars have won seven NAIA national titles, including the 2012 edition, under Coach Kyle Blaser since he took over the program in 1997.

British Columbia, third at nationals last spring, takes the No. 2 spot in the poll, with Johnson & Wales sitting in third. Rounding out the top five are Texas Wesleyan and Our Lady of the Lake, both top-10 finishes at last year's NAIA Championship.
