E-Z-GO Names Recipient of Labron Harris Sr. Scholarship
Indiana Section?s Alexandra Brown awarded prize
NORMAN, Okla. ? E-Z-GO, in cooperation with the GCAA, has named Alexandra Brown the recipient of the Labron Harris Sr. Scholarship Award. The $2,500 scholarship goes to an oustanding college freshman that displays excellent test scores, academic performance, extracurricular activities, as well as citizenship. Furthermore, the winner must be related to a PGA of America member in the section of the Labron Harris Sr. Award winner. This year, that honoree was Devon Brouse of Purdue.
The daughter of Heath and Shawnna Rigsby, Brown is attending the University of Evansville in Evansville, Ind., where she is majoring in Biology/Pre-Med. She was valedictorian of her high school and graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average. She was recipient of the Elks Most Valuable Student Award. A member of both the National Honor Society and student council, Brown served as an officer for two years in Students Against Destructive Decisions. She also competed on her varsity soccer team, serving as team captain her senior year.
