As it has been since the entire season, Methodist continued to sit atop the GCAA/Precept Coaches Poll as the top-ranked team in Division III men?s college golf. The Monarchs - who earned eight first-place votes - streak dates back to the preseason GCAA/Precept Coaches Poll.

 

Gustavus Adolphus tallied four first-place votes to move up two spots to second. Saint John?s and Guilford, who were tied for second in the previous ranking, also received first-place votes but bell to third and fifth, respectively. Ohio Wesleyan climbed one spot to fifth. Wisconsin-Eau Claire stayed at sixth and is followed by Greensboro, Emory, Oglethorpe and Nebraska Wesleyan, who moved up four places to No. 10

 

Two teams - Redlands (No. 11) and Central (No. 13) - fell from the top ten. La Grange moved up a rung to No. 12. Denison comes in at No. 14 while Mary Hardin-Baylor ranks 15th. LaVerne made the biggest jump inside the poll, climbing five spots to No. 16. Hardin-Simmons ranks 17th and is followed by Otterbein, Skidmore and Hope.

 

Rhodes and Texas Lutheran - two newcomers to this season?s poll - rank 21st and 23rd, respectively. Texas-Dallas took the biggest drop in the rankings, falling six spots to No. 22. Allegheny and defending national champion Averett are tied at No. 24.

Olivet and Trinity University fell from the rankings.

 

The Division III Precept Coaches Poll is voted on by a panel of Division III coaches that are members of the Golf Coaches Association of America. The next Division III Precept Coaches Poll will be released April 15.
