Midland Edges Odessa for Seventh Straight Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA DI Coaches Poll No. 1
NORMAN, Okla. - After winning the NJCAA Region 5 Championship on April 15 and finishing second at the NJCAA South Central District Championship on April 29, Midland is No. 1 for the seventh consecutive Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA DI Coaches Poll. The Chaparrals received four first-place votes and 67 points on May 2, one more than South Central District Champion Odessa (three first-place votes and 66 points).
Hutchinson, New Mexico JC, and Indian Hills rounded out the top five, while Central Alabama, McLennan, Western Texas, Garden City, and Weatherford completed the ranking.
Blinn, Tyler, Dodge City, and Eastern Florida State also received votes.
