Methodist Takes Top Ranking Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll
NORMAN, Okla. — Methodist climbed one spot to take the No. 1 position in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll. The Monarchs led the ranking despite one first-place vote.
Preseason No. 1 Illinois Wesleyan dipped to second but did receive eight first-place votes. Third-ranked Huntingdon received the remaining two first-place votes. Carnegie Mellon and Emory each moved up a spot to fifth and sixth, respectively. Guilford fell to No. 6. Piedmont, Washington & Lee, and Denison stood pat at Nos. 7-9. Wittenberg moved up three spots to No. 10.
Berry (#17), Saint John's (MN) (#T-20), NYU (#22), and Babson (#T-23) debuted in the poll. Concordia (TX), LaGrange, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Willamette dropped from the ranking.
