Arizona State moves to No. 1 in Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll

NORMAN, Okla. — Entering the second ranked second in the Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll, the Arizona State found themselves as the new No. I after opening victories at the Maui Jim Invitational and Trinity Forest Invitational.

The Sun Devils received 14 first-place votes, while second-ranked Georgia Tech earned nine, third-ranked Baylor tallied a single first place vote, and fourth-ranked Wake Forest earned two votes of their own.

Pepperdine jumped to fifth, while Texas Tech moved up 12 spots to No. 6, followed by Duke, Washington, Oklahoma, and Texas to round out the Top-10.

Washington (#8), Notre Dame (#12), Arizona (#13), Louisville (#16), Arkansas (#17), Ole Miss (#24), and West Virginia (#25) all joined the poll for the first time this season. Alabama, California, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt all fell from the top 25.
