December 2011 GCAA National Convention

Welcome

The GCAA National Advisory Board (NAB) is pleased to announce that the 2011 GCAA National Convention will be held December 5-7 at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas.

Events

We are pleased to announce the convention fee will remain at $399 which will include an expanded third day of educational opportunities as well as other new additions to the convention week.

The site of this year’s convention will again be the Tropicana Hotel in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, adjacent to the MGM Grand and New York, New York. The GCAA convention rate is $135 + tax (single or double) Friday Deember 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd, and $85 + tax (single or double) Sunday, December 4th-Wednesday, December 7th. The room block cutoff date will be November 11, 2011. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-634-4000. Once our room block is filled, there is no guarantee of additional room availability at our convention price. We look forward to seeing you at what we hope will be a fast-paced, informative convention.

When making reservations at the Tropicana Hotel please request the group rate for the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Again this year the GCAA will host a Rules Workshop for the membership. The workshop will begin on Saturday December 3 at 8:00 a.m. and conclude on and Sunday, December 4 at approximately 1 p.m. The Workshop will take place at the Tropicana Saturday, with an on-course session at Angel Park Golf Club Sunday (shuttle provided).

In conjunction with our convention, The College Golf Combines will be hosting a combine on Sunday, December 4th beginning at approximately 12:00 noon. The site of the event will be Angel Park Golf Club, which will coincide with the Coaches Rules Workshop so our members can take advantage of both opportunities.

This year the convention will begin on Monday, December 5 with a full day of activities followed by the Hall of Fame reception beginning 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Join us as we honor our members for their outstanding contributions to our profession for 2011.

Our Corporate Partners Exhibit Night will be held Tuesday, December 6 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Great food will be provided as always.

Registration
