December 2015 GCAA National Convention
Planet Hollywood Las Vegas 

The 2015 National Convention will be held Dec. 7-9 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Further information will be posted below later this year.

The GCAA National Advisory Board (NAB) is pleased to announce that the 2015 GCAA National Convention will be held December 7-9 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.


The convention fee for the 2015 event will be $425.  We will be announcing our lineup of speakers throughout the in the next month, including those that will be a part of ou joint GCAA/WGCA session Monday, December 7.

The site of this year’s convention will again be the Planet Hollywood in the heart of the Las Vegas strip. The GCAA convention room rate is $109 + tax (Sunday-Thursday) and $119 + tax (Friday and Saturday) and all rates include the resort fee. The room block cutoff date will be November 11th, 2015. Once our room block is filled, there is no guarantee of additional room availability at our convention price. 

Again this year the GCAA will host a Rules Workshop for the membership. The workshop will be held Sunday evening, December 6 from 4:30pm to 9:30pm, with an hour break taken for dinner. The cost for the workshop is $25 and space is limited.

In conjunction with our convention, The College Golf Combines will be hosting a combine Sunday, December 6. The site of the event will be the Rio Secco Golf Club.  For further information please visit http://www.collegegolfcombines.com/.

Again this year, the AJGA will be holding an event in conjuction with the GCAA Convention. The AJGA Seniors Championship will be held at The Revere Golf Club in Las Vegas and feature unsigned 2015 graduates.  The dates of the event will be Dec 5-6. Transportation will be provided by the events for our coches to and from Planet Hollywood.

This year the convention will begin on Monday, December 7 with a full day of activities, including a joint session with the WGCA highlighted by Featured Instructor Butch Harmon and Mark McGinnis, U.S. Navy SEAL commander, and concluding with the Hall of Fame reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Join us as we honor our members for their outstanding contributions to our profession for 2015.

Our Corporate Partners Exhibit Night will be held Tuesday, December 8 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Great food will be provided as always.

If you prefer you can call the Reservation Center at 866-317-1829 to secure a reservation in the group block. The name of the group is listed as Men’s Golf Coaches Association of America or use the group code SMMGC5.

The cut-off date to make reservations in the block at the group rate is Wednesday, November 11, 2015. After that time, the group rate will be offered based on hotel availability only. Room rate $109 plus tax weekdays and $119 plus tax Friday and Saturday (Rates shown include Resort Fee that incudes in room internet and fitness center access).

This year's convention fee will be again be $425 for GCAA members ($450 after November 1 and $500 for registration on-site in Las Vegas). The registration fee for High School or International Coaches is $350 and includes all meetings and educational sessions but does not include the GCAA Awards Dinner. Non-Member guests can also be invited by GCAA Members (limit 4) and can attend for a fee of $350, which again includes all meetings and educations sessions but does not incude the GCAA Awards Dinner. Tickets to the Awards Dinner can be purchased separately (limited availability). Please call the GCAA at 405 329-4222 with questions.

Cancellation must be submitted in writing to the GCAA National Office by email or fax no later than 10 days before the start of the convention. Upon receipt of your cancellation, the GCAA will refund the convention registration fee less a $50 processing fee. Cancellations recieved after the deadline are not eligible for a refund. Attendee bears all risk of inclement weather.
