Former Cal State Northridge men's golf coach Bill Cullum passed away

Cullum, 74, coached the Matador men's team from 1965 to 1986 and won three
NCAA Division II golf championships and finished second twice. He was named
NCAA College-Division Coach of the Year in 1969 and District Eight Coach of
the Year in 1970 and 1971. Under Cullum, the Matadors won eight California
Collegiate Athletic Association championships from 1969 to 1977.

Current Cal State Northridge men's golf coach Jim Bracken played under
Cullum from 1978-80.

"He just had a passion for the game and helped a lot of kids develop
personally as well as professionally," said Bracken. "He had tremendous care
for his players and his teams."
