Arizona Retains Lead After Second Round of Hall of Fame Invitational
Nallen shoots second 66 to lead all individuals by seven strokes

The Arizona Wildcats shot 283 to move to 16-under-par 560 and retain its lead after the second round of the Hall of Fame Invitational at Redstone Golf Club. Chris Nallen of Arizona blistered the course by carding 66 for the second-straight day to extend his tournament lead to seven strokes.Texas (283-278=561) and Oklahoma State (289-278=567) posted the best rounds of the day with 278s. The effort moved the Longhorns within one stroke of Arizona and moved Oklahoma State from 11th to third place. New Mexico (290-280=570) also shaved 10 shots from its first-round results to move into a fourth-place tie with Oklahoma (286-284=570). The English National Team (288-285=573), TCU (283-291=574), Texas A&M (283-291=574) and Arizona State (288-287=575) are all under par through the second round. Arkansas (283-294=577) took the biggest fall in the standings after scoring 294 in round two and fall from a tie for second to 10th. UNLV (287-294=581), Minnesota (295-288=583), Francis Marion (288-298=586), Rice (299-291=590), East Tennessee State (294-304=598), Houston (304-295=599), the Swedish National Team (303-301=604) and Averett (329-324-653) round out the scoring.
With a pair of 66s, Nallen (66-66=132) continues to pace the field by seven strokes. Texas? Jason Hartwick (74-65=139) fired a tournament-best 65 to move into a second place tie with teammate Jeff Bell (71-68=139), TCU?s Adam Meyer (68-71=139) and the Oklahoma State duo of Alex Noren (71-68=139) and Casey Wittenberg (72-67=139). Hartwick began the day in a tie for 55th place. A total of 26 competitors are under par through two days of play.Championship round play will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the tournament leaders slated to tee off at approximately 9:18 a.m. Team and individual champions will be honored after the conclusion of play.
