Ahlgren named 2020 NAIA Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award Recipient

NORMAN, Okla. — Wilhelm Ahlgren of Keiser University has been named the recipient of the 2020 NAIA Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award.

Ahlgren posted a scoring average of 73.54 over the course of the 2019-20 season. The Karlskrona, Sweden native had two runner-up finishes as well as six top-ten finishes.

Ahlgren closed out his impressive Freshman campaign by earning NAIA PING All-South Region honors, as well as being selected as a NAIA First Team All-American.

Lucas Cena of Keiser, Mason Domecq of Ottawa (AZ), Ryan Van Der Kils of Point, and Alexandre Vandermoten of Ottawa (AZ) all joined Ahlgren on the NAIA All-Freshman Team.
