NEW YORK, NY—The first Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and the NAIA, will appear in the February 28 issue of Golf World. For the third time during the 2010-11 college season, Guilford has claimed the No. 1 ranking in the Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III men’s coaches’ poll.
The Quakers, led by first-year coach Corey Maggard, closed the fall season with three victories in five starts. The team received 15 of the 17 available first-place votes to outpace No. 2 Huntingdon, which claimed the other two.

While the remainder of the top five stayed the same from the final fall poll, their was some movement. Methodist moved to No. 3 and LaVerne inched up to No. 4 with Saint John’s (Minn.) sliding down to No. 5.
No new schools appear in the top 10, but one moved into the top 25: No. 24 St. John Fisher.
