(NEW YORK, NY)—The latest Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and III, the NAIA and the NJCAA, will appear in the May 2, 2011 issue of Golf World. Oklahoma Christian collected nine of the 10 first-place votes available and maintained its place atop the Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA men’s coaches’ poll.
The Eagles have won three of four starts this spring, including the Oklahoma City Spring Invitational. In-state rival Oklahoma City came in second, receiving the other first-place vote.
USC Beaufort and Grand View swapped spots in the poll, the former moving to No. 3 and the later to No. 4. Malone holds on to its No. 5 position.
Two new schools entered the top 10, with Shorter coming in at No. 9 and Johnson & Wales moving up to No. 10.
Two programs also joined the top 25: No. 22 Webber International and No. 25 Marian U. (Ind.)
