Welcome

The GCAA National Advisory Board (NAB) is pleased to announce that the 2019 GCAA National Convention will be held December 9-11 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Events

The convention fee for the 2019 event will be $425 ($450 after November 1, $500 on-site). We will be announcing our lineup of speakers in August and September, including those that will be a part of our joint GCAA/WGCA session Monday, December 9.

The site of this year’s convention will again be the Planet Hollywood in the heart of the Las Vegas strip. The GCAA convention room rate is $102 + tax (Sunday-Thursday) and $158 + tax (Friday and Saturday). A $22 daily resort fee will also be added to the rates above, which includes admission to the Fitness Center daily and in-room internet access. The room block cutoff date will be November 17, 2019. Once our room block is filled, there is no guarantee of additional room availability at our convention price.

The GCAA will conduct Collegiate Rules of Golf Workshop in a special session Sunday, December 8 from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. Space is limited so this session will be at a first come, first served basis. The price for the Rules Workshop is $45 and you do need to register this in addition to your regular convention registration - and you can do these at the same time or with your membership registration.

Again this year, the AJGA will be holding two events in conjunction with the GCAA Convention. The AJGA evian International and Seniors Showcases will be held at Angel Park Golf Club in Las Vegas, NV and feature 156 unsigned 2020 graduates and international players. The dates of the events will be December 6-8, 2019. Complimentary transportation will be provided by the AJGA for all coaches to and from Planet Hollywood and Angel Park Golf Club.

Monday will be a full day of activities, including a joint session with the WGCA with guest speakers to be announced. The evening will conclude with the Hall of Fame reception beginning at 6:00 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m. Join us as we honor our members for their outstanding contributions to our profession for 2019. The class will be announced in the early fall.

Our Corporate Partners Exhibit Night will be held Tuesday, December 10 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Great food will be provided as always.

If you prefer you can call the Reservation Center at 866-317-1829 to secure a reservation in the group block. The name of the group is listed as Men’s Golf Coaches Association of America or use the group code SMGCA9 (NOTE - THERE IS A $15 (+ TAX) PROCESSING FEE TO RESERVE BY PHONE - BUT NO FEE TO USE THE RESERVATION LINK ABOVE).

The registration fee for High School or International Coaches is $385 and includes all meetings and educational sessions but does not include the GCAA Awards Dinner. Non-Member guests can also be invited by GCAA Members (limit 4) and can attend for a fee of $385, which again includes all meetings and educations sessions but does not incude the GCAA Awards Dinner - these need to be invites from GCAA member coaches. Tickets to the Awards Dinner can be purchased separately (limited availability). Please call the GCAA at 405 329-4222 with questions.

Cancellation must be submitted in writing to the GCAA National Office by email or fax no later than 10 days before the start of the convention (not later than Nov. 29). Upon receipt of your cancellation, the GCAA will refund the convention registration fee less a $50 processing fee. Cancellations recieved after the deadline are not eligible for a refund, unless approved by the Executive Committee after reviewing a letter requesting an exemption. Attendee bears all risk of inclement weather.

Transportation

If you do wish to rent a car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car/National Car Rental are the preferred rental cars for our organization. As a reminder, you can use our GCAA corporate account number XZ51060 for special GCAA rates.

Alaska Airlines is offering a discount for GCAA Members who are flying to Las Vegas for the National Convention. This applies to any US or Canadian city to Las Vegas on Alaska or Horizon Air (excludes Prudhoe Bay, Alaska; Hawaii; Mexico; or Costa Rica). 

The Discount Code ECMC743 has been activated and is available for booking.

To use the Discount Code, go online to alaskaair.com and input the Discount Code when searching for flights. The discount will be applied to any flights meeting the contract parameters. By clicking the “?” next to the discount code box after entering the code you may view a detailed description of the rules.
