(NEW YORK, NY) — The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division I College Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions II, III, NAIA and NJCAA will appear in the April 16, 2012 issue of Golf World.  Texas, with wins at the Morris Williams Invitational and the Insperity Augusta State Invitational, maintained their hold on the top spot in the Golf World/Nike Golf men’s Division I college coaches’ poll.

The Longhorns earned 14 of the 20 available first-place votes as the squad now claims six victories in nine starts thus far into the 2011-12 season.

Alabama, with three wins this spring including recently at the Linger Longer Invitational, jumped four spots to the No. 2 position and earned three first-place votes. Auburn fell one place back to No. 3, as did California, which tied with UCLA in the No. 4 spot.

New to the top 10 this week is Oregon after the Ducks won their home event and then the Stanford Intercollegiate in consecutive weeks.

New to the top 25 was Virginia at No. 18 and Wichita State at No. 25.
