(NEW YORK, NY) — The final Golf World/Nike Golf Division I College Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf Worldmagazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions II, III, NAIA and NJCAA will appear in the May 21, 2012 issue of Golf World.  Texas enters the NCAA postseason as the top-ranked team in the final Golf World/Nike Golf men’s Division I coaches’ poll of the spring.

The Longhorns secured 10 of the 17 available first-place votes to keep the No. 1 ranking they first earned last November. The team will try to earn a berth into the NCAA Championship when it plays at the Norman, Okla., regional held at Jimmie Austin GC.

Moving up one spot to No. 2 is SEC champion Alabama, which earned three first-place votes. Pac-12 champion California jumped two spots into the top three as well, securing the remaining four first-place votes. Rounding out the top five is UCLA.

New to the top 10 this week was No. 6 Oregon, which lost in a playoff to California at the Pac-12s.

No new teams are in the top 25.
