  • Palladino Named DIII Winner of Phil Mickelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Nicholas Palladino of Rochester has been named recipient of the Phil Mickelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation as the most outstanding freshman in Division III men’s golf.

Palladino had four wins on the season - the SLU Men’s Invitational, Liberty League Championship, ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Championship and UAA Championship. He posted six additional top five finishes. Palladino finished in the top 10 in 11 of his 12 tournaments during his freshmen campaign.

Greg Scott of Hamilton (Northeast), Johnathan Chen of Emory (Southeast), Transylvania’s Jantzen Latham (Great Lakes), Casey Vangsness of Saint John’s (Central) and Jeremy Sanders of Redlands (West) were previously named with Palladino (Mid-Atlantic) to the All-Freshmen Team.
