NORMAN, Okla. – Auburn and Illinois were tied at No. 1 in the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. Both squads. Both squads were coming of first-place finishes against strong fields and each claimed eight first-place votes.

Wake Forest, who tied Auburn for the team championship at the U.S. Collegiate Championship, garnered the four remaining first-place votes and is ranked third. Florida State dropped from first to fourth while Stanford climbed two spots to fifth. Duke rocketed 16 spots to No. 6. Texas bumped up two spots to seventh. Southern California was another big mover, jumping 11 rungs to No. 8. Arizona State and Clemson rounded out the top 10. 

A pair of Big Ten teams - Penn State (#17) and Purdue (#22) - debuted in the ranking. North Carolina (#16), Virginia (#24) and USF (#25) reentered the top 25.

McNeese State, Oregon, Texas A&M, UCLA and Washington dropped from the ranking.
