NORMAN, Okla. – Huntingdon was the No. 1 ranked team in the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. The Patriots claimed four first-place votes.
UT Tyler, which was No. 1 in the previous two rankings, dropped to No. 2 despite receiving 11 first-place votes. The Patriots are only four points behind Huntingdon in the rankings. Illinois Wesleyan and Emory flipped Nos. 3 and 4, despite Emory claiming a first-place ballot. Methodist stayed at No. 5. St. Thomas (MN) vaulted back into the ranking at No. 6 and earned two first-place votes. Concordia (TX) remained at No. 7. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps climbed four spots to No. 8 and was followed by Guilford and Sewanee.
Calvin (#18), Carnegie Mellon (#25), North Carolina Wesleyan (#21), Pacific Lutheran (#23), Redlands (#20) and Trinity (CT) (#24) were newcomers to the ranking. Berry, California Lutheran, Chapman, LaGrange, La Verne, Mary Hardin-Baylor, Ohio Wesleyan, and Rochester fell from the top 25.
The final fall Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Polls will be released November 17.
