NORMAN, Okla. – UT Tyler received 12 first-place votes to return to No. 1 in the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. It marked the third of four polls this season the Patriots were ranked first.
Previous No. 1 Huntingdon tallied two first-place ballots and fell to second. Illinois Wesleyan held steady at No. 3. Fourth-ranked St. Thomas (MN) jumped two spots, leap frogging Emory and Methodist. Fifth-ranked Emory also earned the remaining first-place vote. Concordia (TX) remained seventh and was followed by Washington & Lee and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Greensboro, Saint John’s (MN) and Sewanee tied at No. 10.
Rochester reentered the ranking at No. 25. Trinity (CT) dropped from the top 25.
The first spring poll will be released February 16.
