NORMAN, Okla. – Barry tallied 13 first-place ballots to become the new No. 1 in the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll. This marks the first regular season poll since March 10, 2017 that West Florida did not hold the poll’s top ranking.
The first seven teams in the poll hale from the state of Florida. Florida Southern ranked second followed by Lynn, Saint Leo, Nova Southeastern, Florida Tech, and West Florida - who earned four first-place votes. Eighth-ranked Carson-Newman also received a first-place nod. USC Aiken was ninth while Arkansas Tech checked in at No. 10. No. 14 Western Washington earned the final first-place vote.
Western Washington, Lindenwood (#16), Valdosta State (#22), and Oklahoma Christian (#25) all debuted in the top 25. CSU Monterey Bay, CU-Colorado Springs, Columbus State, and Lee all fell from the ranking.
