NORMAN, Okla. – South Mountain claimed three first-place votes and moved to the top of the Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll. Cougars overtook preseason No. 1 and defending national champion Mississippi Gulf Coast, who also earned three first-place ballots, by a single point.

Kirkwood moved up four spots to third and was followed by Tyler JC and Meridian. Sixth-ranked Murray State (OK) tallied the remaining first-place tally. Parkland ranked seventh while Walters State and Mesa were eighth and ninth, respectively. Black Hawk debuted in the poll at No. 10.

Abraham Baldwin dropped from the ranking.
