Precept Division III Coaches Poll - April 9, 2003
Wisconsin-Eau Claire New No. 1 in Precept Coaches Poll NORMAN, Okla. ? Defending national champion Guilford College moved up a spot to fourth, flip-flopping with Greensboro College who dropped to fifth. Both schools received a first place vote. Averett received the second most first-place tallies, four, to come in sixth and is followed by Saint John?s. Ohio Wesleyan and Redlands garnered the remaining two first-place votes, ranking eighth and ninth, respectively. Central College fell two spots to No. 10 Emory and Washington & Lee rank Nos. 11 and 12 for consecutive polls and are followed by Mary Hardin-Baylor. Trinity University comes in at No. 14, while Gustavus Adolphus fell from the top 10 to No. 15. Skidmore College, Texas at Dallas, Otterbein College, Wesley College and Savannah College of Art & Design round out the top 20. Nebraska Wesleyan fell out of the top 20 to No. 21. Denison and LaVerne are ranked No. 23 and 24, respectively. Christopher Newport re-enters the poll at No. 24 and Muskingum College completes the top 25. Allegheny College and Claremont McKenna fell from the rankings. To vote in the Precept Coaches Poll, a coach must be a member of the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The next Precept Division III Coaches poll will be released May 7.
