United Turf Industries to Donate SofTrak Synthetic Putting Greens Complex to Division I National Champion

Wichita, Kan. ? United Turf Industries (?UTI?) ? developer of SofTrak Putting Greens the high-performance synthetic turf that closely simulates the look and feel of natural turf for residential and commercial use ? announced it will donate the design and construction of a SofTrak Putting Greens complex to the winning school at the conclusion of this year?s Division I National Championship May 28-31 at Karsten Creek in Stillwater, Okla.

The SofTrak donation is a joint effort between UTI and the Golf Coaches Asssociation of America (GCAA), a non-profit organization and professional association serving more than men?s college golf coaches and their student-athletes in the United States.

?We believe SofTrak is a perfect fit with Division I programs, home to some of the finest golfers in the country,? says Brian Foster, UTI Director of Operations. ?Our high-performance synthetic surfaces are increasingly meeting the needs of the finest golfers in the world.?

Fred Couples, Steve Flesch, Bruce Lietzke, Donna Andrews, and T.C. Chen are an example of the level player choosing SofTrak. Also, Rider University recently installed a SofTrak putting surface and other UTI training materials at their indoor training facility, thought to be the only golf program facility of its type on the East Coast.

?We are thrilled that one of our member schools, because of their outstanding performance, will receive such a significant donation,? said GCAA Executive Director Gregg Grost. ?As a strong supporter of collegiate athletics, its coaches, and their student-athletes, United Turf Industries continues to set the standard for development of all weather synthetic playing surfaces. The university that is fortunate enough to be the recipient of this donation will have a premiere on campus practice facility for many years to come.?
