Lengden Division II Winner of Phil Mickelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – Oscar Lengden of Nova Southeastern has been named recipient of the Phil Mickelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation as the most outstanding freshman in Division II men’s golf.

In his debut season from Helsingborg, Sweden, freshmen Oscar Lengdèn had a particularly strong finish to his spring season and was also tabbed Sunshine Conference Freshman of the Year. Lengden logged a top-10 finish in each of the Sharks’ last four tournaments. Lengden was the individual champion at Barry’s Buccaneer Invitational. He then finished second at the SSC Championship and 12th at the NCAA Championships.

Jose Hernandez and Luke Kwon of St. Edward’s, Wingate’s Antoine LeSaux and Georgia College’s Ryan Trocchio joined Lengden on the All-Freshmen Team.
