Three more of the nation?s top men?s collegiate golfers - Florida?s Matt Every, Jason Hartwick of Texas and Oklahoma State?s Casey Wittenberg - have been named to represent the United States at the 2004 Palmer Cup presented by Monster announced the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). This Ryder Cup-style competition will be played at Ballybunion Golf Club in County Kerry, Ireland, August 6-7.

Every became just the seventh player in the history of the Florida golf program to win two tournaments in one season - the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational and the Gary Koch Invitational - for the top-ranked Gators this season. The sophomore from Daytona Beach, Fla., has earned eight top-10 finishes in 10 stroke-play events. A PING Honorable Mention All-America selection in 2003, Every has been named the SEC Men?s Golfer of the Week twice this season and was recently named to The Ben Hogan Award Watch List.

Hartwick will be making his second appearance in the Palmer Cup presented by Monster after competing in the 2003 event. The senior from Sacramento, Calif., has won two events - the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic and the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship - with six top-10 and five top-five showings. The Big 12 Golfer of the Month for October, Hartwick leads the conference in scoring average with 70.42. A three-time PING All-America and All-Big 12 Conference selection, Hartwick was one of 34 golfers named to The Ben Hogan Award Watch List.

Runner-up at last summer?s U.S. Amateur and a member of the 2003 Walker Cup team, Wittenberg is in his freshman season at Oklahoma State. The Memphis, Tenn., native has been the Cowboys top finisher in four tournaments this season and has posted three top-10 showings. He was one of 34 men?s collegiate golfers named to The Ben Hogan Award Watch List. Wittenberg joined Tiger Woods to become only the second player to achieve the No. 1 ranking in the Golfweek/Titleist Men?s Amateur Rankings in the summer of 2003 after winning the Southern Amateur and Porter Cup and finishing runner-up at the Monroe Invitational, Azalea Amateur and North-South Amateur.

The U.S. team leads the Palmer Cup Series, 4-2-1.
