Maccaglia Claims DIII Arnold Palmer Award presented by Callaway

NORMAN, Okla. – Anthony Maccaglia of Oglethorpe claimed the Division III Arnold Palmer Award presented by Callaway for earning medalist honors at the NCAA Championships.

Maccaglia led the Division III Championship wire-to-wire. He birdied his first hole of the championship - one of five on the day - on his way to a 4-under 68 in the opening round. Maccaglia tallied four more birdies in the second round and moved to 5-under for the tournament. He posted his second 4-under round during day three to move to 9-under. Maccaglia struggled the final round but still managed to finish at 6-under for the tournament and claim the individual national championship for himself and the team title for Oglethorpe.
