Posted Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004 Oklahoma State Remains Atop GCAA/Precept Coaches Poll NORMAN, Okla. ? Georgia, Auburn and New Mexico round out the top five with Florida and Kentucky, who each grabbed a single first-place vote, following at sixth and seventh, respectively. Texas, Arizona State and TCU finish up the top ten. Arizona moved up two spots to No. 11 while Southern California stands pat at No. 12. Tennessee also moved up a couple slots to No. 13 with UNLV and Clemson checking in at Nos. 14 and 15, respectively. UCLA once again laid claim to the No. 16 ranking with Brigham Young and Georgia State on its heels at Nos. 17 and 18, respectively. Previously unranked Michigan State debuts at No. 19 and Augusta State finished off the top 20, moving up three spots. Washington came in at No. 21 and is followed by Duke, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Kent State to round out the poll. Wake Forest was the lone team to fall from the top 25 rankings. The GCAA/Precept Coaches Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the Golf Coaches Association of America. The next Division I GCAA/Precept Coaches Poll will be released on Nov 11.
