South Carolina-Aiken Holds Off Hawaii-Hilo in Latest GCAA/Precept Coaches Poll NORMAN, Okla. ? South Carolina-Aiken continued its run as the top rated team in Division II men?s golf by picking up seven first-place votes in the GCAA/Precept Coaches Poll. Hawaii-Hilo continued to close the gap between itself and the number one spot - now down to just seven points - by checking in with five first-place votes. Cal State-Bakersfield climbed one slot to the number three position. West Florida - who grabbed a single first-place vote - came in at fourth, just ahead of UC-San Diego and Western Washington. Lynn debuted in the poll at seven by picking up the remaining two first-place votes. Barry, Saint Martin?s and Florida Gulf Coast complete the top 10. Central Oklahoma and Rollins each moved up two spots to Nos. 11 and 12, respectively. Georgia College & State Univ., Cameron and Armstrong Atlantic State round out the top 15. Cal. State-Stanislaus slid 10 spots to No. 16 while Valdosta State dropped seven rungs to No. 17. Delta State and Grand Canyon each came down a single slot to Nos. 18 and 19, respectively. Chico State continued to slip in the rankings, checking in at No. 20. Northeastern State stayed at No. 21 while Nova Southeastern debuted in the poll at No. 22. Coker falls from No. 19 to No. 23 while St. Mary?s (Texas) and Columbus round out the top 25. Florida Southern and St. Cloud State were dropped from the rankings. The GCAA/Precept Coaches Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches at Division II institutions. All are members of the Golf Coaches Association of America.
