USC-Aiken Tops in Division II GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll
Posted Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 USC-Aiken Tops in Division II GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll NORMAN, Okla. ? Cal. State-Bakersfield ranked second. Rollins - who claimed the only remaining first-place ballot - checked in at No. 3. Fourth-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State is followed by Western Washington, Lynn, Hawaii-Hilo, Cal. State-Stanislaus, West Florida and Chico State. Central Oklahoma came in at No. 11 while Delta State, Columbus State, Cameron and Barry filled spots 12-15. UC-San Diego ranked No. 16 and is followed by Florida Southern, Georgia College & State Univ., Washburn and Pfeiffer. Grand Canyon, Coker, North Alabama, Florida Gulf Coast and Northern Kentucky round out the top 25. The GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches at Division II institutions. All are members of the Golf Coaches Association of America. The next Division II GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll will be released Oct. 14.
