The Cincinnati Enquirer Player of the Year in both 2003 and ?04, Alex Volpenhein attends Covington Catholic High School and hails from Edgewood, Ky. He won both the Westfield Junior PGA Championship and the Calloway PGA Junior Series Kearney Hills. He also placed first at his U.S. Amateur and U.S. Junior qualifiers last summer. Volpenhein will attend Kentucky.
