Wayland Baptist?s Loppnow Wins Phil Mickelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation

Lower, Ochoa, Palmer and Villarreal comprise remainder of All-Freshman Team

PLYMOUTH, Ind. ? Michael Loppnow of Wayland Baptist was awarded the Phil Mickelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation as the nation?s outstanding freshman NAIA men?s golf. Justin Lower of Malone, Oklahoma Christian?s Axel Ochoa, Kevin Palmer of Davenport and Texas Wesleyan?s Armando Villarreal round out the All-Freshman Team.

Loppnow finished in the in the top five on three occasions including two wins for a Wayland Baptist team that finished fifth in the NAIA National Championship.
