Cyr Wins NAIA ARNOLD PALMER AWARD Presented by CALLAWAY GOLF

 

PLYMOUTH, Ind. ? Sam Cyr of Point Loma Nazarene has claimed the ARNOLD PALMER AWARD presented by CALLAWAY GOLF for NAIA. The Palmer Award is presented annually to the national championship individual medalists.

 

A junior, Cyr earned his third victory of the year at the NAIA National Championship.   He had posted six other top-5 finishes. Cyr was also named a First-Team All-American following Friday?s final round of the NAIA National Championship. 

 

?I am very happy and honored to win this award,? Cyr said following the announcement.

 

Notable past recipients of the award include Phil Mickelson (1992), Justin Leonard (1994), Tiger Woods (1996), Charles Howell (2000) and Ryan Moore (2005).
