Goff Wins Arnold Palmer Award presented by Callaway Golf
USC-Aiken senior medalist at Division II Championship to earn honor


HOUSTON ?  Jeff Goff of USC-Aiken has claimed the Arnold Palmer Award presented by Callaway Golf. The Palmer Award is presented annually to the national championship medalists in men?s golf in NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA.
    
    Goff got off to a hot start at the national championship, carding five birdies en route to a three-under first round. After a rocky start to begin his second round - which included bogey on three of his first seven holes - Goff recorded back-to-back birdies on nos. 5 and 6 to finish one-over for the day and move to two-under after two rounds. He played even par the third round to sit in second place entering the final day. Starting on No. 10 the final round, Goff parred the back nine and recorded three birdies and three bogeys on the front to hold on for  medalist honors.
