Huntingdon New Number One Team in Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches' Poll

NEW YORK, NY?The third Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches? Poll of the fall season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).  Huntingdon is the new number one team, earning five of the 13 first-place votes.

The Hawks were victorious at the Greensboro Invitational in September and have a 30-1 record thus far in 2008-09.

Rounding out the top-five are Methodist (No. 2), Saint John?s (Minn.) (No. 3), Oglethorpe (No. 4) and Illinois Wesleyan (No. 5).

Guilford (No. 6) and UT-Tyler (No. 10) cracked the top-10, after being ranked 11th and 12th, respectively, in the previous coaches? poll. UT-Dallas (No. 18), Greensboro College (T-19), Central (No. 21), Linfield (No. 24) and Wisconsin-Stout (No. 25) all moved into the top-25.
