NEW YORK, NY?The first Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches? Poll of the fall season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and the NAIA, will appear in the September 28th issue of Golf World. Oglethorpe remained the number one team in the poll, earning eight of the 14 first-place votes.
The Petrels open their season this week at the Rhodes Fall Collegiate Classic and then play in the Greensboro College Fall Invitational next week.
Rounding out the top-five are Huntingdon (No. 2), Methodist (No. 3), LaVerne (No. 4) and UT-Tyler (No. 5).
Wittenberg (T-23) and Centre (No. 25) moved into the top-25.
