Finalists Announced for NCAA Division III Dave Williams Award presented by Golf Pride Grips

NORMAN, Okla. — NCAA Division III finalists for the Dave Williams Award presented by Golf Pride Grips have been announced by the GCAA. The Williams Award honors the national coach of the year in NCAA Division III men’s golf.

The five finalists included Bom Jollymour of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Jim Ott of Illinois Wesleyan, Dan Rodgers of Carnegie Mellon, Dave Schreyer of Huntingdon, and John Sjoberg of Emory.

Jollymour helped lead the Stags to a trio of victories in 2019-20. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps also posted a top-five finish in their only other events of the season.

Illinois Wesleyan posted five victories in 2019-20 under the direction of Ott. The Titans claimed two runner-up finishes in their other two events of the season and were ranked #1 in the final five NCAA Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.

Rodgers helped guide the Tartans to a pair of victories during 2019-20. Carnegie Mellon also posted two top-ten finishes and one top-15 finish in their remaining three events of the year.

Huntingdon claimed one team title in 2019-20 under the direction of Schreyer. The Hawks also posted four runner-up finishes and two top-ten finishes in their remaining six events of the season.

Emory wont two times in 2019-20 under Sjoberg’s tutelage. The Eagles also had three top-five finishes and one top-ten finish during the year. Emory was also ranked #1 in the NCAA Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll earlier in the season.
