Showcase for High School Seniors at GCAA/WGCA Coaches' Conventions in Las Vegas
More than 175 High School Seniors will be showcased at three events in Las Vegas on December 6th & 7th. The AJGA Senior Events and College Golf Combine are being held in conjunction with the Golf Coaches Association of America GCAA and Women's Golf Coaches Association WGCA. Coaches will be shuttled between their convention hotel and the golf courses and receive resume books with detailed information for all of the participants.
High School Seniors that did not to sign a Letter of Intent during the November 12-19 Early Signing Period are eligible to compete in all three events. The AJGA Senior Events comprise two tournament fields at Revere Golf Club, 156 participants (132 boys and 24 girls) will be competing in the 36-hole stroke-play format. "These Senior events are the AJGA Mission Statement in action” said Mark Oskarson, AJGA Chief Operating Officer.
The College Golf Combine - Coaches' Convention Combine will feature High School Seniors & Juniors. Combines are open to all junior golfers and Junior College players. The format has Skills Challenges set-up over 9 holes and Medal Play for 9 holes, which allows Coaches the opportunity to evaluate every shot in the recruit's bag. Registration closes on November 26th. "We are excited to host the Coaches' Convention Combine for the 6th year and provide recruits an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to College Golf Coaches." said Kim Campbell, Combine Executive Director.
