Lindstrom Named 2023 NJCAA Division I Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine Recipient

NEWTON, Kan. - Alex Lindstrom of Hutchinson has been named the recipient of the 2023 NJCAA Division I Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine.

The First-Team PING All-American recorded top-11 finishes in all seven spring tournaments entering this week’s 2023 NJCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship, collecting individual wins at KJCCC No. 2 and the KJCCC Championship. A Halmstad, Sweden native, Lindstrom also carded two top-20 finishes in four fall tournaments for the Blue Dragons.

Gaspar Glaudas of Indian Hills, Travis Robbie of New Mexico JC, Adam Vermut of Eastern Florida State, and Thomas Vestergaard of Midland joined Lindstrom on the All-Freshman team.
