LAS VEGAS - Cobalt Golf, a direct-to-consumer golf brand focused on developing premium laser rangefinders to golfers who demand the best out of their gear, has been named the title sponsor of the GCAA All-America Scholar awards beginning in 2023-24. The awards will use the official name Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar.

"Cobalt is proud to be the title sponsor of the GCAA All-America Scholar Awards, which celebrates a commitment not only to golf, but also to the classroom,” said Cobalt Golf President Jordan Vermillion. “We look forward to recognizing the dedication and exemplary achievement of these student-athletes.”

Over 925 athletes have received GCAA All-America Scholar honors in each of the last four years, including a record 1,084 from over 385 schools in 2022-23. As of December 2, 1,477 plaques have been ordered to honor this recognition.

“We are thrilled to have Cobalt Golf joining the GCAA with their recognition of student-athlete successes in the classroom, said GCAA President Ryan Cabbage. “As the largest award program for our association, this continues our long history of highlighting our student-athletes and we are extremely excited to partner with Cobalt Golf for this tremendous academic recognition.”

To be eligible for GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate’s Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.
