Bernard Claims Division II Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award

NORMAN, Okla. – Hugo Bernard of Saint Leo claimed the Division II Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award for earning medalist honors at the NCAA Championships.

Bernard led the championship wire-to-wire. After opening with 7-under 65, his low round of the season, Bernard led by three strokes. He pushed his lead to four strokes after carding 66 in the second round. Bernard posted even par in the third and final round to hold on for a two-stroke victory.

The win was Bernard’s second of the season.
