Thornberry Division I Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award Winner

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. –Braden Thornberry from the University of Mississippi claimed the Division I Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award for earning medalist honors at the NCAA Championships.

Thornberry, a sophomore, fired a final round 1-under 71 to capture the Arnold Palmer Individual National Championship at the Rich Harvest Farms Monday. Thornberry cruised to a four shot victory with a four round total of 11-under par (66-71-69-71--277). His opening round 66 tied the Rich Harvest Farms collegiate record and his four-shot victory was the largest at the championship since 2006. The victory was Thornberry's fifth of the season, which is the most in school history, and the seventh of his career.
