Everett Claims Division I Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award

STILLWATER, Okla. – Augusta’s Broc Everett claimed the Division I Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award for earning medalist honors at the NCAA Championships.

Everett opened the tournament with 2-under 70 and was tied for 16th. He posted another 70 in the second round to move into a tie for ninth. Everett moved into a tie for third with his third-straight 70 and was three shots off the lead.

Clemson’s Bryson Nimmer began the day with the lead but struggled on the afternoon. While several golfers challenged during the final round, Everett and Auburn’s Brandon Mancheno battled down the stretch. Everett moved to 8-under and the tournament lead with a birdie at No. 14. He would bogey the next hole and move into a tie with Mancheno, who birdied No. 18 to move to 7-under. Everett parred his next three holes to force a playoff. A birdie on the first playoff hole earned Everett the championship.

The win was Everett’s first of the season.
