Walters NJCAA Division II Recipient of Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award

PLYMOUTH, Ind. – Jonathan Walters of South Mountain has been named recipient of the Division II Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award.

Walters finished first once this season when he tied for medalist honors at the Mesa CC Invitational. He was also runner-up three times. Walters finished no worse than eighth in nine tournaments.

Jake Crosson and Jon Hopkins of Mississippi Gulf Coast, Kirkwood’s Ben Epperly, and Mesa’s Logan Eatherton joined Walters on the All-Freshmen Team.
