Wolff Claims Division I Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award

JOHNSON, Ark. – Matthew Wolff of Oklahoma State claimed the Division I Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award for earning medalist honors at the NCAA Championships.

Wolff began the championship with a slow start, posting 1-over 73 and sitting tied for 21st. He heated up in the second round, carding seven birdies en route to 66 and climbed into a tied for second. A third-round 70 would push Wolff to a two-stroke lead. In the final round, he had back-to-back birdies at Nos. 5 and 6 but fell back to even for the day with bogeys at eight and nine. Wolff would recover with three back-nine birdies to cruise to a five-shot victory.

The win was the Wolff’s sixth of the year, an Oklahoma State single-season record.
