Farmers Insurance Open University Day 2014

Once again the Famers Insurance Open is holding its University Day and University Day Challenge in 2014.  Please see the details of the 2014 events below.

University Day® Challenge – Friday 1/24

Following tournament play on Friday afternoon, TOUR players with the support of their alma mater’s mascots will compete in a glass-breaking competition on the North Course. Reigning champion Camilo Villegas, Rickie Fowler, Keegan Bradley and Ben Crane will take aim at the structure and compete for $10,00 to be donated to their alma mater’s golf team.

University Day®– Saturday 1/25

University Day® will return for the third straight year to the Farmers Insurance Open. During Saturday’s Third Round all players are encouraged to wear their schools logo or colors. Farmers will continue to contribute $500 directly to the college golf teams of all players who wear their school colors or logo. The player who shoots the low-round Saturday will be awarded $10,000 to their university’s golf team. Along with the top performer, the runner-up will receive an additional donation to their university’s golf team. All fans are encourage to wear their university’s colors on Saturday.
